About "An Evening with the Masters"

The Housatonic Art League (or H.A.L.) is pleased to continue the series of visual arts presentations entitled "An Evening with the Masters". These programs are co-sponsored by the New Milford Commission on the Arts through the generosity of a grant from the Waterbury foundation, are FREE to the public and are designed for all ages. Most programs are held at 7:15 p.m. at New Milford High School. Signs in the school lobby will direct you to our location.

Our first series of programs in 2000/2001 included designing and playing percussion instruments, a multimedia presentation detailing the design and construction of stained glass artwork., watercolor painting, sculpting with clay, computer animation and storyboarding, photography, and incredible jewelry design and construction.

Fall/winter 2001/2002 programs are scheduled and are expected to begin on Wednesday, September 19, 2001. Program dates are listed in the calendar on this website, but do check local papers on the week of the program for additional information.

Please join us for an informative visually inspiring evening. The presentations last about an hour and a half, and are usually followed by refreshments and informal conversation with the presenter and other artists.
